Hi, and thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Paul Cook and I'm a Grade 5 DSA Approved Driving Instructor (grades run 1 to 6).  I also hold the DIAmond Special Test diploma, which is arguably the toughest advanced driving test available.  I hope you find this website useful and that you decide to use Cook Driver Training.  Click on the video player to hear a short introduction.

Why choose an "Independent" like me? 

"Independent" means I don't work within a franchised school (the big brands you've heard of).  Since I've no franchise fees to pay, I don't have to cram in as many pupils as possible to recover costs.  Also, Independents don't have huge advertising budgets and so I really have to earn my reputation and referral business. Another reason to choose an Independent is that you can be assured you won’t be receiving your training from a “licensed trainee”.  Trainee instructors have not yet passed the final (and hardest) DSA exam – the test of instructional ability.   

In conclusion, do your own research.  Find out about the grading system, franchise costs, Trainee Instructors, and also about how long it takes to pass. If you then decide to use me, you know you can be assured of the highest quality of training, carried out as efficiently as possible.
